I’m having a weird issue with my 2.0 Signature. Even when the battery’s nice and toasty, the car still seems to limit power output when it’s cold outside. I’ve noticed this happening a few times, especially when it’s freezing out. Anyone else having similar problems with their EV in cold weather?

Well…it’s not uncommon for EVs to limit power output when it’s cold out. Chilly temps mess with battery performance, so the car will limit output to keep the battery safe and help it last longer. Even if the battery gets heated up; the car might still hold back on power until it warms up fully.

Even after pre-conditioning, it still feels kinda sluggish when it's super cold. I've got a service appointment scheduled for next week, so I'll see what the dealer thinks. Thanks!
